Crizia

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Restaurant and oyster bar with a focus on quality produce

Crizia

On the Pass

Gabriel Oggero

Known for his meticulous sourcing of ingredients from independent Argentinian producers, chef Gabriel Oggero’s loft-like grill restaurant showcases the county’s highest quality produce, particularly its seafood.

The oyster bar section is a beloved city haunt: expect garnishes of fresh Tucumán lemon and Patagonian vinegar; silky truffle butter, and a dill-spiked pear vinaigrette over Patagonian bivalves. In the candle-lit salon restaurant, seasonal à la carte and tasting menus offer a tour of Argentina’s diverse larder. Highlights include Dijon-braised rabbit and tiradito chernia plated with homemade ricotta and Cordobésa caper leaves. Housed in an architecturally striking property, Crizia was opened in 2004 by Oggero, and his front-of-house partner, Geraldene Gastaldo. Two sommeliers will guide your wine selection from a well-stocked cellar.
