Two editions of #50BestBites

In a year when restrictions on travel and closed borders have made it difficult for people to come together, two #50BestBites will aim to reconnect Latin America’s foodies and media to the region’s most respected chefs in a virtual format. Taking place as two sessions hosted on Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants Facebook page, #50BestBites will offer a chance for cooks and food lovers to come together in conversation about some of the most important issues for the gastronomic community today.

#50BestBites: El Espíritu de América Latina

Wednesday 25th November, 11:00 MX (12:00 CO/PE; 14:00 AR/BR/CL)
The first #50BestBites session will build bridges across countries, bringing together renowned Colombian chef Leonor Espinosa of restaurant Leo in Bogotá (No.8 in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019) and upcoming Panamanian chef Joseph Archbold of Receta Michilá in Bocas del Toro. Both cooks are recognised in their own countries for their work researching the culinary heritage of Afro-Caribbean and other indigenous communities, and together will discuss how they have been inspired by these precious gastronomic cultures, as well as how to better protect them.
